My Sister's Place

My Sister's Place is a women's-only daytime space where women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness can have a hot home cooked lunch, feel safe, participate in programs, access resources, and connect with each other and with our community partners.

The team includes transitional support; community support; partnerships with other support services; food and nutrition supports; peer supports; volunteers; and onsite support from partner agencies such as the Sexual Assault Centre of London, Women's Community House, London Abused Women's Centre, Mission Services, and the AIDS Committee of London.

My Sister's Place provides services such as hot, homemade lunch, showers and laundry, safe space for socializing, day beds, support groups, programs (including crafts, sewing / quilting, knitting, movies, yoga / relaxation, gardening, newsletter, peer support and bingo), computer for e-mail and internet, personal care provided by volunteers and Marvel Beauty School, basic needs including hygiene products, and clothing.
